Senior Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in IT infrastructure projects for their headquarters in Reading . You will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and migrations. This role requires a strong technical background coupled with exceptional project management skills to ensure seamless transitions and robust IT environments. You will work closely with IT operations, network teams, and vendors to achieve project objectives within established timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and cloud migrations.
• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocations.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Oversee the procurement, installation, and configuration of IT hardware and software components.
• Ensure all infrastructure projects adhere to security policies, compliance standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Project Manager with extensive experience in IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of networking, server technologies, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and data center operations.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
