Senior Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with expertise in IT Infrastructure projects to join their team in Sunderland . This role is critical in managing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT infrastructure upgrades and deployments. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project budgets, and ensuring seamless integration of new technologies while minimising disruption to business operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of diverse IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and cloud migrations.
• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, resource requirements, and timelines.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate effectively with internal IT teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Ensure all IT projects adhere to security protocols, compliance standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in IT Project Management , with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving networks, servers, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and data centres.
• Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are advantageous.
