Senior Project Manager - Offshore Wind

About the Role

Our client, a leading developer in the renewable energy sector , is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to spearhead critical offshore wind projects based in Plymouth . This role demands exceptional leadership and strategic planning capabilities to oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial development and consenting through to construction and commissioning. You will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a pivotal opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth of renewable energy and play a key role in developing the UK's offshore wind capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of offshore wind farm projects, ensuring successful delivery from conception to completion.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Oversee procurement, contract negotiation, and management of key suppliers and contractors.
• Manage risks, issues, and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements for offshore energy projects .
• Stakeholder management, including liaising with government bodies, local communities, and project partners.

Requirements

• Proven track record (minimum 10 years) of managing large-scale capital projects, with significant experience in offshore wind development .
• Strong understanding of the technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of offshore wind projects.
• Demonstrated experience in contract management and procurement in the energy sector.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
