Senior Project Manager - Research & Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead their Research & Development projects in Oxford . This role is responsible for guiding innovative R&D initiatives from initial concept through to prototype development and validation. You will work closely with scientists, engineers, and external partners to drive scientific and technological advancements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D projects from ideation through to successful completion and reporting.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate the activities of R&D teams, ensuring effective collaboration and progress tracking.
• Identify and manage project risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Liaise with external research institutions, partners, and suppliers to foster collaboration and leverage expertise.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management , with a strong focus on Research & Development or scientific projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects in an innovative setting.
• Strong understanding of R&D processes, methodologies, and lifecycles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• A background in a relevant scientific or technical field is highly advantageous.
