About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Public Relations Officer to spearhead their strategic communications, operating in a fully remote capacity across the UK. This pivotal role involves shaping and amplifying the company's message, managing complex media relations, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation. You will be a key advisor to leadership, leveraging your extensive PR expertise to navigate challenging communication landscapes and drive impactful results. This position demands a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to managing all facets of public relations in a distributed work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term, integrated PR strategies that align with corporate goals.
• Lead media outreach efforts, cultivating and maintaining relationships with national and international press.
• Oversee crisis communication planning and response, ensuring swift and effective management of sensitive situations.
• Manage and mentor junior PR team members (if applicable) in a remote setting.
• Analyze PR campaign effectiveness, generate comprehensive reports, and provide actionable insights.
• Act as a primary spokesperson for the company when required.

Requirements

• Significant experience (7+ years) in a senior Public Relations role, with a strong track record of success.
• Demonstrated expertise in media relations, corporate communications, and crisis management.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
• Ability to operate with a high level of independence and drive results in a remote setting.
• Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of digital PR and social media integration.
