Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Norwich . This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of software quality through the design, development, and implementation of automated testing frameworks and strategies. You will work closely with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, identify defects early, and contribute to a culture of quality excellence. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude and a passion for ensuring software reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts and frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand feature requirements and design comprehensive test strategies.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring timely feedback on code changes.
• Perform thorough regression testing, performance testing, and security testing to identify defects and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze test results, document defects accurately, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA automation and software testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation scripting.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, version control (Git), and Agile development methodologies.
