Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Norwich . This role is critical for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will play a key part in enhancing our testing processes, driving efficiency, and collaborating with development teams to integrate quality assurance seamlessly into the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks .
• Create and execute test cases, analyze test results, and report defects with detailed descriptions and reproduction steps.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, ensuring early detection of defects.
• Optimize test execution time and improve the overall efficiency of the QA process.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance , with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation scripting (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript ).
• Experience with popular automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies , test planning, and test strategy development.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
