About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their dedicated quality assurance team in Bristol . This role is crucial for ensuring the high quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated test strategies. You will work closely with development teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, identify defects early, and continuously improve our testing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, reporting defects with clear, detailed information.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and feedback.
- Identify opportunities for improving test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the team's overall technical growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation .
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript ).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Playwright.
- Experience with API testing and performance testing tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and defect tracking systems.
