Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team in Norwich . In this on-site role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure the highest quality of our client's software products. You will work closely with development and product teams to implement comprehensive test strategies that identify and prevent defects early in the development cycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks for web and/or mobile applications.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results, reporting defects with detailed information.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuously improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews of test automation code to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation script failures and application defects.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
