Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their development team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from any location within the UK. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our client's software products. This position is crucial for streamlining the testing process, identifying defects early, and contributing to a high-quality user experience. You will collaborate closely with developers and manual QA testers, championing automation best practices within an agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts for web and/or mobile applications.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects clearly.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand product features and define test strategies.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and feedback.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the improvement of testing processes and tools.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a significant focus on test automation .
• Proficiency in developing automated tests using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience with API testing tools and techniques (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
