About the Role

Our client is searching for an innovative Senior R&D Chemical Engineer to drive pioneering research and development initiatives from their advanced facility in Bristol . This role involves spearheading the development of new chemical products and processes, from initial concept through to laboratory validation and pilot scale-up. You will lead technical investigations, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the company's pipeline of next-generation chemical solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead research and development projects for new chemical products and process technologies.
• Design and conduct laboratory experiments, optimizing reaction conditions and formulations.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for product characterization and quality control.
• Manage pilot plant operations and facilitate successful scale-up to manufacturing.
• Analyze research data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of experience in chemical R&D, with a proven track record of innovation.
• Expertise in organic synthesis , catalysis, or materials science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in advanced analytical techniques.
• Experience with pilot plant design and operation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
