Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of innovative mechanical concepts and technologies, from ideation through to proof-of-concept.
• Design, build, and test advanced prototypes, utilizing rapid prototyping and other modern techniques.
• Perform complex engineering analyses, including stress, thermal, and dynamic simulations, to assess design viability.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional R&D teams, including electrical engineers, material scientists, and software developers.
• Document research findings, design decisions, and experimental results thoroughly for internal and external dissemination.
• Contribute to patent applications and technical publications, showcasing novel R&D outcomes.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong R&D focus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design and research and development , with a proven track record of innovation.
• Expertise in advanced CAD/CAE tools and experimental validation methods.
• Deep understanding of mechanics, materials science, and thermodynamics relevant to new product development.
• Excellent remote collaboration skills, self-motivation, and the ability to drive projects independently.
