Senior Remote Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Remote Project Manager to oversee critical IT infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote position, offering significant autonomy and the chance to shape technology strategy from afar. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT systems and a proven ability to manage distributed teams effectively in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of IT infrastructure projects , from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and identifying potential risks.
• Coordinate and direct project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors, in a remote setting.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Oversee the procurement and deployment of IT hardware, software, and network solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in IT project management , with a focus on infrastructure deployments.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale technology projects remotely.
• Strong technical background in networking, server administration, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing virtual teams.
• Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Relevant IT certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or cloud-specific certifications are highly advantageous.
