Senior Renewables Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Renewables Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of key renewable energy projects in Leeds . You will be responsible for managing all phases of project lifecycles, from initial feasibility studies and site selection to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions within the UK's rapidly growing energy sector . You will drive projects to successful completion, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including investors, contractors, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
• Oversee site assessments, permitting processes, and land acquisition activities.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project execution.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically within the renewable energy industry .
• Proven success in managing multiple large-scale renewable energy projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with diverse teams and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
