About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow to join their dynamic Oncology research team in Glasgow . This role is crucial for advancing our understanding of cancer biology and developing novel anti-cancer therapies. You will lead independent research projects, contribute to grant writing, and mentor junior researchers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong publication record, extensive experience in cancer research, and a passion for translating scientific discoveries into clinical applications, working within a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct cutting-edge research projects focused on identifying and validating novel oncology targets and pathways.
• Utilize advanced techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, and genomics relevant to cancer research.
• Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, drawing conclusions and formulating new hypotheses.
• Supervise and mentor postdoctoral researchers and graduate students in the lab.
• Contribute to the writing of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals.

Requirements

• PhD in Cancer Biology, Molecular Oncology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of research experience post-PhD, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Proven expertise in cancer cell biology, tumor microenvironment, or immuno-oncology.
• Hands-on experience with techniques such as CRISPR, single-cell RNA-seq, and advanced microscopy.
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills, with demonstrated leadership potential.
