Senior Research Fellow - Structural Biology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Research Fellow in Structural Biology to join their innovative, fully remote R&D division. This position is key to elucidating the three-dimensional structures of therapeutic targets and drug candidates, providing critical insights for drug design and development. You will lead complex structure determination projects, employing state-of-the-art techniques and computational tools. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute projects focused on determining the 3D structures of proteins and protein-ligand complexes using X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, or NMR.
• Optimize protein expression and purification protocols for structural studies.
• Analyze and interpret complex structural data, contributing to drug design efforts.
• Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biochemists, and computational biologists to advance drug discovery programs.
• Present research findings at international scientific conferences and publish in high-impact journals.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the strategic development of structural biology capabilities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in structural biology, with a strong track record.
• Expertise in one or more key structural biology techniques (e.g., X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, NMR spectroscopy).
• Proficiency in protein expression, purification, and biophysical characterization.
• Experience with structure determination software and 3D visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for success in a remote , global team.
