Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry to join their team in Reading . This vital role will involve developing, validating, and implementing sophisticated analytical methods to support drug development programs. You will work with state-of-the-art instrumentation to characterize chemical entities and ensure the quality and purity of pharmaceutical compounds. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, and spectroscopy.
- Perform characterization studies on small molecules and potential drug candidates.
- Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Author detailed analytical reports, validation protocols, and contribute to regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with formulation scientists, process chemists, and quality control teams.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Expertise with a range of analytical instrumentation and software.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a laboratory setting.
