About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Research Scientist to spearhead innovative projects within their cutting-edge Drug Discovery division. This pivotal role involves leading a small team of scientists, contributing to the design and execution of experimental strategies to identify and validate novel therapeutic targets. You will be instrumental in advancing our client's pipeline, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including computational chemistry, pharmacology, and clinical development. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of high-throughput screening campaigns and subsequent hit validation studies.
- Develop and optimize novel assays for target identification and validation in various disease areas.
- Analyze complex biological data, interpret results, and present findings to project teams and senior management.
- Mentor and guide junior research scientists, fostering a collaborative and scientifically rigorous team environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in drug discovery.
Requirements
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral research experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry .
- Proven track record in drug discovery , with hands-on experience in assay development and screening.
- Strong understanding of various therapeutic areas and target classes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
