About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Scientist to lead pioneering research in Neuropharmacology , working entirely remotely. This crucial role involves exploring novel therapeutic targets and developing innovative treatments for neurological and psychiatric disorders. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex in vitro and in vivo studies, analyzing data, and contributing to the strategic direction of the neuroscience research portfolio. As a leader in a distributed team, you will foster scientific excellence, collaborate effectively with colleagues globally, and drive forward the discovery of next-generation therapies for conditions impacting brain health, all within a flexible and dynamic remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct state-of-the-art in vitro and in vivo experiments to investigate CNS targets and mechanisms.
- Develop and validate novel assays for assessing drug efficacy and pharmacodynamics in models of neurological disease.
- Analyze complex pharmacological and behavioral data, interpreting results to guide research strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, biology, and clinical development.
- Present research findings clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders and at scientific forums, contributing to the advancement of drug candidates from a remote setting .
Requirements
- PhD in Pharmacology, Neuroscience, or a related field with a strong focus on CNS research.
- 5+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in neuropharmacology or a related CNS field.
- Demonstrated expertise in CNS drug discovery, including knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and targets.
- Experience with various experimental techniques, including receptor binding assays, cell signaling studies, and behavioral pharmacology.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, essential for effective collaboration in a fully remote capacity.
