Senior Research Scientist - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist with a strong background in oncology to join their dedicated R&D team in Edinburgh . Key Responsibilities

• Lead research projects focused on cancer cell signaling pathways, tumor microenvironment, and drug resistance mechanisms.

• Interpret complex experimental data and present findings to research teams and management.
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and patent applications.
• Mentor junior scientists and research associates, providing technical guidance and support.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in oncology research.
• Proven expertise in cancer cell biology, molecular oncology, and relevant experimental techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage research projects independently and effectively.
• Strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
