Senior Research Scientist - Pharmacology

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Senior Research Scientist specializing in Pharmacology to join their innovative research facility in Bradford . This critical role involves designing and conducting sophisticated in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate novel drug candidates. You will contribute to key stages of the drug discovery pipeline, working collaboratively with medicinal chemists, biologists, and toxicologists. Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret pharmacology studies to assess drug efficacy and mechanism of action.
• Develop and validate new bioassays and screening methods relevant to therapeutic targets.
• Manage and mentor junior research associates involved in pharmacology studies.
• Analyze experimental data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to internal research teams.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of drug discovery projects and identify new research opportunities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related biomedical science.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech research, with a focus on drug discovery.
• Hands-on experience with a range of in vitro and in vivo pharmacology models .
• Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical methods relevant to pharmacological research.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for working within multidisciplinary teams.
