Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen . This critical role involves analyzing and managing subsurface reservoirs to maximize hydrocarbon recovery. You will be instrumental in developing field development strategies, production forecasting, and optimizing recovery techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir simulation, data analysis, and petroleum engineering principles, contributing significantly to the company's exploration and production success in the North Sea. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reservoir management plans to optimize production and recovery rates.
• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies using geological and engineering data.
• Perform production forecasting, reserve estimation, and economic evaluations.
• Utilize reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow and predict reservoir performance.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to ensure integrated field development.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and uncertainty analysis.
• Excellent understanding of reservoir physics, fluid properties, and recovery mechanisms.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
