About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and managing reservoir performance for key assets within the North Sea. You will leverage advanced simulation techniques and analytical tools to develop production strategies, forecasts, and economic evaluations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir physics, fluid behavior, and production operations, contributing significantly to the company's strategic decision-making and asset development plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software.
- Analyze production data, perform decline curve analysis, and generate long-term production forecasts.
- Identify and evaluate unconventional opportunities and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods.
- Conduct economic evaluations of development and exploitation projects, providing technical input for investment decisions.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to ensure integrated asset management.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and numerical modeling.
- Experience with North Sea reservoir challenges and production operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
