Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their team, supporting operations and projects with a focus on remote collaboration, based remotely but with operational links to Oxford . This role is integral to understanding and maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from reservoirs through advanced analysis and strategic planning. You will be responsible for complex reservoir modeling, performance forecasting, and the development of optimal production strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth reservoir characterization and performance analysis using geological and engineering data.
• Develop, calibrate, and run reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate recovery scenarios.
• Plan and execute static and dynamic reservoir studies to optimize field development and production strategies.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and infill drilling.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and project teams.
• Collaborate effectively with geoscientists, production engineers, and other disciplines in a virtual environment.
• Monitor reservoir performance and recommend adjustments to optimize production and recovery factors.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering , with a proven track record in simulation and field development.
• Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, PETREL RE, INTERSECT).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex geological and production data.
• Experience with uncertainty analysis and risk assessment in reservoir management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly.
