About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This critical role involves analyzing and optimizing oil and gas reservoir performance to maximize hydrocarbon recovery. You will work closely with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop and implement effective reservoir management strategies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the North Sea, utilizing advanced simulation tools and analytical techniques in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and evaluate development options.
- Analyze production data, well test results, and geological information to understand reservoir characteristics.
- Recommend and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Prepare technical reports, economic evaluations, and recommendations for management.
- Collaborate with the exploration team on new venture evaluations and prospect assessments.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering , preferably within the offshore oil and gas sector.
- Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
- Strong understanding of petroleum geology , sedimentology, and petrophysics.
- Demonstrated experience in well test analysis and production data interpretation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
