Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and managing reservoir performance throughout the asset lifecycle. You will contribute essential technical expertise to field development planning, production forecasting, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies, working within a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive reservoir management plans, including production optimization and decline curve analysis .
• Conduct advanced reservoir simulation studies to forecast production, evaluate development scenarios, and assess uncertainty.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques to maximize asset value.
• Collaborate with subsurface teams (geologists, geophysicists) and drilling/production engineers to ensure integrated asset development.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the reservoir engineering discipline within the company.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering , preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE, CMG) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and depletion mechanisms.
• Experience with well test analysis and production logging data interpretation.
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
