About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in London, England, UK . This pivotal role involves managing and optimizing oil and gas reservoirs to maximize production and economic value. You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated reservoir models, forecasting performance, and recommending strategic development plans. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir engineering principles and a proven track record of success in the upstream oil and gas sector, contributing to critical decision-making processes and guiding project execution within a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed reservoir simulation models to predict future production and optimize recovery strategies.
• Conduct complex reservoir studies, including material balance calculations, decline curve analysis, and performance forecasting.
• Recommend well placement, injection strategies, and production optimization techniques based on rigorous technical analysis.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for management, stakeholders, and partners.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to ensure integrated field development planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise across the reservoir engineering discipline.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex geological and engineering data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical findings effectively.
