Senior Retail Associate

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Senior Retail Associate to join their dynamic team at their flagship store in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this role, you will be instrumental in providing an exceptional shopping experience for every customer, assisting them with product selection, and driving sales. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a part in training new staff and deputizing for the store supervisor when needed. Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service, building rapport and assisting customers with their needs and purchases.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain the visual presentation of the store, including merchandising, stock replenishment, and ensuring cleanliness standards.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving stock, conducting stock counts, and reporting discrepancies.
• Support the store supervisor in training and mentoring junior sales associates, sharing product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Newcastle upon Tyne store.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or lead associate capacity.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering excellent customer service and a natural ability to engage with people.
• Strong product knowledge and the ability to learn about new offerings quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive store atmosphere.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
