Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and quantify market risk exposures across various asset classes.
- Develop and maintain market risk models, including VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Monitor risk limits and thresholds, escalating breaches and proposing remedial actions.
- Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with trading desks and portfolio managers to understand risk drivers and implement hedging strategies.
- Contribute to the enhancement of risk management systems and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in market risk management or a similar analytical role within financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and portfolio theory.
- Proficiency in risk modeling software and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk information clearly.
