Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Risk Analyst to join their expanding team in Portsmouth . This vital role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks within the Banking & Finance sector. You will work closely with various departments to develop risk management strategies, implement controls, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and methodologies.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments, identifying potential threats to the organization's financial stability and operations.
- Monitor and analyze key risk indicators (KRIs) and report on risk exposures to senior management.
- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce potential impacts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and best practices in risk management.
- Collaborate with internal audit and business units to address identified risks and implement remediation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the Banking & Finance industry.
- Strong understanding of various risk types, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
- Proficiency in risk modeling, data analysis, and statistical software tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Basel Accords or Solvency II is advantageous.
