Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Risk Manager to join their expanding operations in Glasgow . This critical role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across the business. You will develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, working collaboratively with departments to embed a strong risk culture. This is an ideal position for an experienced risk professional who enjoys strategic problem-solving and contributing to the stability and success of a dynamic financial organization, with the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and policies.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including identifying, analyzing, and evaluating potential risks.
Design and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and controls.
Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report on the risk profile to senior management and relevant committees.
Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts, fostering a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to risk management.

Requirements

Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related quantitative field.
7+ years of experience in risk management, operational risk, or credit risk within the financial services sector.
Proven expertise in risk assessment methodologies, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and best practices in risk governance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
