About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Risk Manager to join their esteemed, fully remote team, contributing expertise from Edinburgh . This critical role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating a wide range of financial and operational risks across the organisation. You will develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to protect the firm's assets and reputation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's enterprise-wide risk management framework.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, identify emerging risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on key risk exposures, including credit, market, operational, and compliance risks.
- Develop and manage risk appetite statements and ensure adherence across business units.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, and regulatory bodies on risk-related matters.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Extensive experience in risk management roles within the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of risk assessment methodologies, financial modeling, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel Accords).
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk policies and controls.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, comfortable working in a remote team environment.
