Senior Security Operations Analyst (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting for a vigilant and proactive Senior Security Operations Analyst to join their remote-first Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is integral to monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats that could impact the organisation. You will be responsible for analysing security alerts, conducting in-depth investigations, and leading the charge in mitigating security incidents. Working with a team of dedicated security professionals, you will leverage state-of-the-art security tools and technologies to protect our digital assets. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions, for potential security threats and anomalies.
• Investigate and analyse security alerts, performing root cause analysis for security incidents.
• Develop and refine detection rules and threat hunting methodologies.
• Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery phases.
• Create detailed incident reports and post-incident reviews, identifying lessons learned.
• Collaborate with other security teams to enhance overall security posture and threat intelligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar security monitoring role.
• Demonstrated expertise in incident detection, analysis, and response procedures.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
