Senior Security Operations Analyst (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Security Operations Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is critical in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across the organization's global infrastructure. You will be a key player in the Security Operations Center (SOC), utilizing advanced tools and techniques to protect against cyber-attacks. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security) to identify potential threats in real-time.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Develop and refine detection rules , use cases, and threat intelligence feeds to improve threat hunting capabilities.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts within the SOC team, providing guidance on best practices and incident handling.
• Create detailed incident reports and post-mortem analyses, communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOC processes, tools, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity role.
• Expertise in using SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, and other security monitoring technologies.
• Strong understanding of attack vectors, threat landscapes, and incident response methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote setting.
• Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, or Security+ are highly desirable.
