Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their security team in Bradford . In this role, you will be at the forefront of detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats. You will utilize advanced security tools and techniques to monitor the organization's networks and systems, ensuring swift and effective resolution of security incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence feeds.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security events and incidents to determine root cause, scope, and impact.
• Lead the response to security incidents, coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Develop and refine SOC procedures and playbooks for effective incident handling.
• Contribute to threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security breaches.
• Mentor junior SOC analysts and assist in their technical development and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience working within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and common cyber attack vectors.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security solutions.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
