About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer to lead installation and maintenance efforts in the Edinburgh area. This is a hybrid role where you will combine on-site technical expertise with remote project oversight and support. You will be responsible for complex installations, troubleshooting challenging technical issues, and mentoring junior technicians. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and operational integrity for our client's advanced systems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence in both field and remote settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex technical installations and commissioning of advanced systems.
- Perform in-depth diagnostics and repairs on sophisticated mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Provide expert technical support and mentorship to junior service engineers.
- Conduct remote troubleshooting sessions and guide field technicians through complex procedures.
- Manage service contracts and ensure client satisfaction through high-quality maintenance services.
- Contribute to the development of new service procedures and training materials.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Service Engineer or similar, with a strong focus on installation and maintenance .
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems relevant to our client's products.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical problems.
- Experience in leading technical teams or projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both field and remote hybrid capacities.
