Senior Site Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Site Civil Engineer to oversee construction operations and ensure the successful delivery of civil engineering works in Portsmouth . This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of site management, quality control, and health and safety protocols. You will be responsible for managing site engineers, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that all civil engineering aspects of projects in Hampshire are executed to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives on-site and wants to play a key role in project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
• Develop and manage construction schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Resolve technical issues and site challenges in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress reports for project management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in site engineering and construction management.
• Proven experience in managing civil engineering works such as earthworks, foundations, drainage, and concrete structures.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site safety regulations .
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and construction software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
