Senior Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is searching for a skilled and motivated Senior Site Engineer to join their team operating across projects in and around Brighton . This role is integral to ensuring the technical integrity and successful execution of construction projects, providing essential engineering support on-site. You will be responsible for setting out, managing surveys, and overseeing the quality of construction work, bridging the gap between design and implementation. This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence to supervise technical operations, complemented by remote administrative tasks, including planning and reporting, ensuring efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering support on construction sites, ensuring work is carried out to design specifications and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate setting out operations using surveying equipment and software.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff, providing technical guidance.
• Ensure adherence to the project schedule, identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation, including remote data entry and analysis.

  Requirements
• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and leadership potential, comfortable managing both on-site tasks and remote administrative duties.
