Senior Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their dynamic team working on key construction projects in Derby . You will be responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy and quality of engineering works on site, managing site engineers and providing technical guidance. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, surveying, and site management, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards. Contribute your expertise to the development of significant infrastructure and building projects in Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all engineering and technical aspects of the construction site.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with design specifications , drawings, and quality standards.
• Manage and mentor junior site engineers and technical staff.
• Conduct setting out, surveys, and quality checks on site.
• Liaise with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and designers on technical issues.
• Implement and maintain robust site engineering procedures and records.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience as a Site Engineer , with proven leadership capabilities.
• Strong understanding of surveying techniques and setting out procedures .
• Proficiency in using engineering software and survey equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
