Senior Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee technical execution and quality control on major construction projects in the Oxford area. This critical role involves ensuring that all engineering aspects of the construction process are implemented accurately and efficiently, in line with design specifications and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance to site teams, managing survey operations, and ensuring the integrity of all structural and infrastructural elements, playing a key part in delivering high-quality results on complex building and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards .
• Manage setting-out operations, levels, and control for all construction elements.
• Oversee the testing and inspection of materials and works, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with the design team, subcontractors, and clients to resolve technical queries and site issues.
• Implement and monitor site health and safety procedures in accordance with regulations.
• Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and quality control documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in surveying equipment and techniques, and relevant engineering software.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and geotechnical principles .
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to site management.
