Senior Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Site Manager to oversee a significant construction project in Aberdeen . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This pivotal role requires a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and project timelines, contributing directly to the successful delivery of complex building projects within the region and upholding the company's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all site operations, including labour, plant, and materials, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, coordinating effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to meet deadlines.
• Quality control checks, ensuring all work conforms to building regulations, design specifications, and industry standards.
• Manage site logistics, including deliveries, storage, and waste management, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any site-related queries or issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health and safety legislation (e.g., CSCS card).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• A relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Construction Management or a related field) is highly advantageous.
