Senior Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Site Manager to oversee a major construction project in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves taking full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for all site operations, coordinating trades, managing logistics, and upholding rigorous health and safety protocols. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a seasoned construction professional to lead a critical development in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Develop and implement detailed site management plans, including logistics, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations , conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and health and safety documentation.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client, designers, and project stakeholders on site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a strong track record of successfully completed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and health and safety legislation .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification.
