Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Smart Contract Developer to join their dedicated team based in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical for designing, implementing, and auditing secure and efficient smart contracts for various blockchain applications. You will work on challenging projects within the crypto and blockchain sector, contributing significantly to the integrity and functionality of our decentralized systems. This position requires a candidate who thrives in a collaborative office environment and possesses a deep understanding of blockchain security and development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy secure and gas-efficient smart contracts on platforms like Ethereum.
Perform rigorous security audits and vulnerability assessments on existing and new smart contracts.
Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define smart contract requirements and architecture.
Optimize smart contract code for performance and minimize transaction costs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and best practices in smart contract development.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying smart contracts .
Expertise in Solidity and familiarity with other smart contract languages.
Deep understanding of blockchain principles, cryptography, and security vulnerabilities.
Proven experience with smart contract auditing tools and methodologies.
Strong knowledge of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
