Senior Software Engineer - Cloud

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Software Engineer with expertise in cloud technologies to join their pioneering team on a fully remote basis, based near Cambridge . You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud-native applications and infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud best practices to support the company's ambitious growth and technological advancements. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable cloud-native applications and services on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and testing processes.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on cloud computing .
• Proficiency with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Expertise in programming languages commonly used in cloud environments (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and CI/CD practices.
