About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Sound Designer to join their acclaimed production house in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and implementation of all sound elements, working collaboratively with creative teams to enhance narrative and emotional impact. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and implement innovative soundscapes and audio effects for various productions.
• Operate and maintain professional audio equipment, including mixers, microphones, speakers, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
• Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to align sound design with artistic vision.
• Oversee the recording, editing, and mixing of dialogue, music, and sound effects.
• Conduct on-site sound checks and live mixing during performances and events.
• Manage the audio budget and source necessary sound equipment and resources within Newcastle upon Tyne .

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sound design , with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Expertise in industry-standard DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
• Proficiency with audio hardware , including mixing consoles, microphones, and signal processing.
• Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio engineering principles .
