Senior Sound Designer

About the Role

Our client, a celebrated independent game studio, is seeking a creative and technically adept Senior Sound Designer to join their fully remote team. This role is paramount in crafting immersive audio experiences that enhance player engagement and bring our game worlds to life. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and mixing all aspects of the game's sound, from environmental ambiences and Foley to impactful sound effects and user interface audio. Key Responsibilities

• Design, record, and implement high-quality sound effects , music, and ambient audio for game projects.
• Integrate audio assets into the game engine using middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) and proprietary tools.
• Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other audio team members to define and achieve the desired sonic experience.
• Mix and master audio assets to ensure optimal clarity, impact, and balance across various platforms.
• Troubleshoot audio-related issues and optimize audio performance for the game.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in sound design for video games or interactive media.
• Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Reaper, or Logic Pro.
• Experience with game audio middleware like Wwise or FMOD.
• Strong understanding of audio principles, acoustics, and psychoacoustics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, essential for effective collaboration in a remote setting.
