About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their reputable engineering consultancy based in Glasgow . This role involves leading the structural design and analysis for a diverse portfolio of building projects, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with all relevant standards. You will mentor junior engineers, manage project deliverables, and liaise directly with clients and design teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis of building projects, from concept to detailed design stages.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively for structural engineering works.
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, fostering their technical and professional growth.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and structural drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Undertake site visits for inspections, surveys, and to provide technical support during construction phases in Glasgow .
Requirements
- Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Substantial experience as a Structural Engineer , with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Expertise in structural analysis software and design codes (e.g., Eurocodes).
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) or working towards it.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a hybrid team environment around Scotland .
