About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and technically astute Senior Structural Engineer to join their remote-first engineering team. This role is integral to providing expert structural design and analysis services for a diverse portfolio of construction projects. You will be responsible for leading the structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring safety, integrity, and efficiency in all designs. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other consultants, contributing your expertise to innovative and challenging builds. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process for various building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
- Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced engineering software.
- Produce detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, British Standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Manage project deliverables and timelines, coordinating effectively with remote team members and clients.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design .
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional body (e.g., IStructE, ICE).
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and AutoCAD/Revit.
- In-depth knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
