About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in structural design and analysis, capable of taking ownership of complex projects from conceptualization through to construction phase support, all from the comfort of their home office. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of various building types, ensuring compliance with British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Perform complex structural analysis using advanced software and provide clear, concise design calculations.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and tender documents for a range of projects.
• Provide expert technical advice and support to construction teams remotely throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve shop drawings and contractor submittals to ensure design intent is met.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the virtual team.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer).
• In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant UK regulations.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
