About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their established team in Leeds . You will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring the integrity, safety, and resilience of structures. This role requires a deep understanding of structural principles and materials, coupled with the ability to lead projects and mentor less experienced engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for new builds, refurbishments, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform complex structural calculations and modeling using specialized software.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to develop integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers, fostering their technical development.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in structural engineering design and project delivery.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS) and BIM technologies.
• Thorough knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design principles.
• Excellent communication, client liaison, and team leadership skills.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent is essential.
